The Buckingham Murders Day 7 Box Office: Kareena Kapoor Starrer Scores Poor 1st Week Of 9.50 Crore
Last Friday ended a long drought of the release of new Hindi films. Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer The Buckingham Murders released in cinemas this Friday in Hindi and English. The film has been set in England and hence contains most of the dialogues in English. But the movie has been dubbed in Hindi as well by the same actors voicing the dub, hence maintaining the authenticity of dialogues. The movie will end the long absence of Hindi movies which forced audiences to watch re-releases and same old movies in last one month.
The Buckingham Murders Collects Low 6.75 Crore Over Weekend
The Buckingham Murders is a mystery thriller from Hansal Mehta. Kareena Kapoor Khan has produced the film along with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, she also plays the lead role of a detective in the film. The trailer of the film looked quite grim. The fact that the movie will be released in Hindi and English gives it a wider audience. Also, the reputation of Hansal Mehta might help.
Film managed to collect only below par 1.62 crore net and that was expected considering no pre release buzz coupled with poor advance booking. Film needed big jump over weekend but it managed to jump by average 50% on day two.
Film collected 2.41 crore net on day two and film grew only marginally on day three with 2.72 crore net number. Film collected 6.75 crore net total over weekend. Film continued to drop on weekdays. Film collected 1.06 crore on day 4, 1 crore on day 5, 92 lac on day 6 and 83 lacs on day 7.
Film has total of 9.50 crore in week one and it will finish below par under 15 crore lifetime.
