The GOAT Box Office: Vijay Starrer Hits Rs 30 Crore On Day 2 With Rs 83 Crore Total, Sets Record In Tamil Nadu; Hindi Version Holds Strong, Kerala Struggles
The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) is proving to be a major hit at the Indian box office. On its second day of release, the film raked in approximately Rs. 30 crore, bringing its two-day total to an impressive Rs. 83 crore.
With the extended weekend ahead, the film is on track to surpass Rs. 150 crore.
The GOAT BO Breaks Record In Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu, GOAT continued its strong performance, earning about Rs. 21 crore on Friday. This was a 30 per cent drop from its first-day numbers but still marked the second-highest non-holiday day two collections ever.
The only film to have performed better on a non-holiday second day was Leo, which grossed Rs. 23.50 crore last year. The film’s day two collections are comparable to the opening day figures of other Tamil blockbusters such as Jailer, Ponniyin Selvan, and Vikram.
Karnataka also saw positive results, with GOAT bringing in around Rs. 3 crore on its second day. The film is expected to show growth over the weekend, suggesting a solid box office performance in the state.

Film HOLDS Strong In Hindi Version, Struggles In Kerala Struggles
The Hindi dubbed version of the film held up well with a typical 15 per cent drop, indicating steady audience interest.
However, GOAT struggled in Kerala, where it experienced a steep 70 per cent decline. This sharp drop suggests that the film is facing challenges in this market. Telugu states, which underperformed on the film’s opening day, continued to lag on day two.
Despite mixed results outside Tamil Nadu, the film’s performance in the state is a bright spot. Tamil Nadu’s exceptional hold is likely to support the film’s overall success.
The Hindi version may also continue to attract viewers into September, which could bolster its earnings further.
Overall, The GOAT is demonstrating strong potential, especially in Tamil Nadu, and is poised for a significant run over the extended weekend.
