Anurag Kashyap‘s next film has been shrouded in secrecy, but an exciting update has just surfaced. This sighting has only added to the growing buzz about the film.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Brother Indrajith Sukumaran Makes His Bollywood Debut With Kashyap’s Next

Details about the project remain under wraps, but sources hint that the film’s storyline has been kept tightly guarded. “Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film is centred around a subject that has been kept under wraps for a very long time. There is a lot of hush-hush around the script. Indrajith Sukumaran was spotted at the airport as he finished his schedule and headed back to Chennai,” a source revealed to mid-day.

Indrajith Sukumaran’s involvement is noteworthy as it marks his debut in Hindi cinema. Known for his roles in Malayalam hits like Amen, Double Barrel, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Lucifer, Sukumaran’s transition to Bollywood under Kashyap’s direction is sure to attract attention. Fans are eager to see how his talent translates onto the Hindi film screen.

Interestingly, Sukumaran’s younger brother, Prithviraj, made his own Hindi film debut with an Anurag Kashyap production. Prithviraj starred opposite Rani Mukerji in Aiyya, further linking the Sukumaran brothers with Kashyap’s cinematic ventures.

Anurag Kashyap & His Love For Malayalam Cinema

Kashyap’s fondness for Malayalam cinema is well-documented. He has frequently praised films from the industry, recognising their creativity and depth.

Earlier this year, he commended the film Manjummel Boys, describing it as “simply extraordinary” and noting its superior storytelling compared to larger-budget Indian films. On the film diary app Letterboxd, Kashyap wrote, “Such confidence, such impossible storytelling.”

Kashyap’s praise goes beyond just individual films. He often highlights the bold and creative storytelling from the Malayalam film industry. He contrasts this with the more formulaic approach common in Bollywood.
