Ajay Devgn is currently hard at work on the much-anticipated sequel, Son Of Sardaar 2, filming in the UK. However, a recent update brings exciting news for fans. Despite earlier reports of Sanjay Dutt’s visa issues preventing him from joining the UK shoot, it has been confirmed that he will indeed be part of the project. According to Dainik Bhaskar, Sanjay Dutt will reunite with Devgn in Punjab for filming in October.
Sanjay Dutt To Join Son Of Sardaar 2 Shoot Next Month, To Play A Don
The sequel, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, will not be a direct continuation of the original film but will still feature familiar elements. Fans can expect Dutt to take on a significant role as a Don, echoing the character’s essence from the first film.
The new storyline will involve a dramatic gang war between Bihari and Punjabi Dons, adding an intriguing twist to the plot. Additionally, Sanjay Mishra will replace Vijay Raaz in Ravi Kishan’s original role, adding another layer of anticipation.
Actor Was Not A Part Of UK Schedule Due To His UK Visa Rejection
Dutt’s absence from the UK shoot was due to visa complications linked to his 1993 case. The actor faced legal issues related to the Arms Act and TADA, stemming from his involvement with illegal firearms related to the Bombay bombings. This legal history had initially prevented him from travelling to the UK.
Ajay Devgn recently shared a glimpse of the film’s progress on Instagram. He posted a video of the film’s Muhurat ceremony, featuring him praying at a gurdwara and Mrunal Thakur performing bhangra on stage. Devgn captioned the video, “The journey of #SonOfSardaar2 begins with prayers, blessings, and an amazing team.”

The sequel is highly anticipated as it marks the return of the successful franchise after nearly 12 years. The first film saw Devgn’s character trying to win the approval of Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, portrayed by Dutt.
However, Sonakshi Sinha will not reprise her role in this sequel. The release date for Son Of Sardaar 2 has yet to be announced, but fans can look forward to seeing this dynamic duo back together on screen once again.
