EXCLUSIVE: Harshvardhan Rane And Angira Dhar To Star In Sequel Of Vinod Bachchan’s Ginny Weds Sunny
Ginny Weds Sunny was a 2020 Indian Hindi romantic comedy film starring Yami Gautam as Ginny and Vikrant Massey as Sunny. It was directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was released on 9 October 2020 on Netflix.

Ginny Weds Sunny 2 To Go On Floors In October 2024
Ginny Weds Sunny is heading up for its sequel. Producer Vinod Bachchan has locked Harshvardhan Rane in the male lead and Angira Dhar as female lead. Interestingly this pair was slated to star in Tara Vs Bilal to be produced by John Abraham. But Angira didn’t do the film eventually.
Film will again deal with sensitive love story. It will be fresh love story and nothing to do with the first part of the film. Film will go on floors in October and November this year.
About Ginny Weds Sunny
The film follows outgoing Ginny who meets Sunny for an arranged marriage but rejects him, then shows how Sunny teams up with Ginny’s mother to win her love.
The movie was announced on 11 July 2019 with a cast including Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey. It was directed by Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan under Soundrya Production. Navjot Gulati wrote the story and Sumit Arora wrote the dialogues. It marks Khanna’s directorial debut. Sony Music India was roped in as the official music partner.
Film attained limited critical success upon its digital premiere on Netflix.
