In June, Sidharth Malhotra was reported to star in an action drama directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, and produced by Murad Khetani of Kabir Singh and Animal fame.
The film also featured South Indian star Sreeleela as the leading lady and was scheduled to be Sidharth’s first major project following the box-office disappointment of Yodha. However, just two months later, the project hit a major snag.

Recent reports from Peeping Moon reveal that Sidharth has unexpectedly exited the film, leading to its shelving just a month before production was to begin in Uttarakhand.
According to sources, the actor’s departure was driven by a lack of confidence in the script and reported creative differences with the director. Additionally, the production team struggled to secure financing for the film, a challenge possibly linked to Sidharth’s recent box office struggles.
Another source suggests that Sidharth’s departure was also influenced by his unreasonable demands and tantrums, which contributed to the project’s cancellation.
His recent career trajectory has been rocky, with several box office failures making it difficult for him to secure new roles. Despite discussions with various filmmakers over the past six months, Sidharth has yet to finalise a new project.
Actor Now Has Dinesh Vijan’s Rom-Com With Dasvi Fame Tushal Jalota
Industry buzz suggests that Sidharth’s next venture might be a romantic comedy produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Tushar Jalota, known for Dasvi. Although the film was initially planned to start production in late 2023, it faced delays due to budget issues.
Now, it seems to be back on track, with filming potentially beginning in the coming months. Reports also hint that Janhvi Kapoor is in talks to play the female lead, though her involvement is yet to be confirmed.
