Maalik: Rajkummar Rao Reveals Title & Welcomes Us Into The World Of His Hardcore Action Film, Says ‘Shooting Shuru Ho Chuka Hai’
Actor Rajkummar Rao celebrated his 40th birthday on August 31 by unveiling his next project, Maalik. Taking to Instagram, Rao shared a striking poster for the film, giving fans a sneak peek into his new role.

In the poster, Rao is seen standing on a police jeep, dressed in white and holding a gun. His intense gaze and commanding presence set the tone for what promises to be a gripping action thriller.
The poster also features the film’s tagline: “Paeda nahi huye toh kya, ban toh sakte hai” (What if we aren’t born that way but we can become).
Rao’s Instagram post reads, “Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi” (Welcome to Maalik’s world. The shoot has started, and we will meet soon).
His wife, actor Patralekhaa, responded with a supportive comment: “Jeeee baat,” to express appreciation and excitement.
Fans quickly expressed their excitement about Rao’s new venture. One fan remarked, “Man, he is bringing content back to back. From Mr and Ms Mahi to Srikanth, to Stree 2 and now this.

Maalik marks a new milestone for Rao as he steps into the role of a gangster for the first time. Directed by Pulkit, known for his work in thrillers and dramas, the film promises to be a high-octane action drama.
The shooting is currently underway, with an extensive schedule planned across various locations in India. Produced by Kumar Taurani under Tips Films and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films, the release date of Maalik has yet to be announced.
Rajkummar Rao was last seen in Stree 2, which hit theatres on August 15. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, also featured Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurrana. With special cameos by Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar, Stree 2 follows the success of its 2018 predecessor, Stree, which was a significant hit.
