Kapil Sharma Makes Big-Screen Comeback With Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2; Sequel Set To Roll By End Of 2024
Kapil Sharma is gearing up for a big-screen comeback with the sequel to his 2015 hit, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The film, directed by Abbas-Mustan, was a surprise success, collecting Rs 43 crore at the box office.
It was a playful nod to David Dhawan‘s films, following a comic storyline where Sharma’s character juggles romance with four different women.
Fast forward nine years, and Sharma is ready to dive back into comedy. He’s signed on for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, reuniting with producer Ratan Jain and the iconic director duo, Abbas-Mustan. Sharma is thrilled about the sequel, looking to return to his comedic roots after exploring various genres.
Kapil Sharma Starrer Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 To Go On Floors By 2024-End
A source close to the project told Pinkvilla, “After Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Kapil experimented with various genres, and is now looking forward to come back with a pure comic entertainer. He has liked the script and is expected to start shooting from the end of this year.”
This sequel will be helmed by Anukalp Goswami, who was a key writer for the original film. Goswami will both direct and script the new instalment, with Abbas-Mustan overseeing the project creatively. Ratan Jain will continue as producer, ensuring the film’s production is in experienced hands.
Sequel To Have Multiple Actresses Like First Instalment
The casting for the female leads is underway, with the team looking to feature several actresses, much like the original. The sequel will once again centre on Sharma’s character, navigating humorous complications in his romantic life.
Kapil Sharma, who has made a significant impact on television, is now set to bring his charm and humour back to cinemas. Fans can look forward to seeing him in another laugh-out-loud adventure with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.
