After A Series Of Actioners, Sidharth Malhotra To Return To Romantic Genre With Dinesh Vijan’s Untitled Film?
Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up to find love on screen once again. After a series of action-packed roles, including Mission Majnu (2023), Yodha, and Indian Police Force, Malhotra is ready to return to the romantic genre. The actor has reportedly signed on for a new love story produced by Dinesh Vijan.
Sidharth Malhotra In Talks With Dinesh Vijan For An Untitled Romantic Film
According to Mid-Day, Malhotra has been in discussions with Vijan’s production house for a while and was immediately captivated by the script. This upcoming film, which is yet to be titled, will be directed by Tushar Jalota, who is known for his recent success with Dasvi.
A source close to the project revealed, “Sidharth has been in talks with Dinesh’s production house for some time. He loved the script and is excited to team up with a banner that is known for bringing modern romances to the screen.”

This new venture marks a return to the genre that Malhotra embraced early in his career. His debut film, Student of the Year (2012), was a campus romance, and he followed it up with several rom-coms, including Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) and Baar Baar Dekho (2016). These roles established him as a versatile actor capable of capturing the nuances of romance on screen.
Malhotra has expressed that he enjoys performing romantic roles and believes his fans appreciate seeing him in these parts. However, he is keen on avoiding clichés. He wanted a love story with a unique and refreshing approach, and this new project seems to fit that description perfectly.
If everything works according to their plan, the film is expected to start production later this year.

Sidharth Malhotra has been experiencing a rough patch in his acting career. His previous films Mission Majnu & Yodha didn’t do well at the box office.
He now has Balwinder Singh Janjua’s next titled Mitti. Additionally, the actor is reportedly in talks to join Saif Ali Khan in Race 4 as a second male lead. However, nothing has been finalised.
