Anil Sharma Shares Update On Sunny Deol’s Gadar 3, Says ‘Jab Mere Pass Emotions Ka Atom Bomb Aayega…’
Anil Sharma recently shared an exciting update about Gadar 3, hinting at big plans for the sequel. The director’s comments come as the blockbuster Gadar 2 celebrates its first anniversary.
During his recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Sharma reflected on the massive success of Gadar 2 and discussed future projects.
Anil Sharma Recalls Saying THIS To Gadar 2 Actor Sunny Deol
Sharma described the past year as a whirlwind. “Time flies. I can’t believe it’s been a year already since the madness unleashed by Gadar 2,” he said with a laugh.
The film’s success has brought a notable shift in how Sharma is perceived in the industry. “Public ka pyaar toh kal bhi tha, aaj bhi hai. But the perspective of some people in the industry has definitely changed,” he added.
He explained that while he used to make one film every few years, the success of Gadar 2 pushed him to quickly start his next project, featuring Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma.
Sharma also praised Sunny Deol, whose career saw a significant boost with Gadar 2. “When I told Sunny sir about Gadar 2, I told him – You should do this film. You deserve to charge Rs. 50 crores per project.”
Sharma recalled the emotional moment when he first saw the film’s success. “The demand was so high that shows were running at 3:00 am. My wife showed me videos of the cinema madness, and I had tears in my eyes. I called Sunny sir, and we both were overwhelmed.”
Filmmaker Reveals The Title Of His Next With Nana Patekar
Turning to his upcoming projects, Sharma confirmed that his next film is titled Vanwaas: A Journey Of Life. The film, starring Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma, is an emotional drama that Sharma described as a return to the emotional storytelling of his earlier work.
“This film is in that zone,” he said, referring to classics like Shradhanjali and Bandhan Kuchchey Dhaagon Ka. He noted, “Vanwaas mein emotions ka gadar hai, and I want to present it to the audience. It’s the most relevant story of today’s times, focusing on the plight of the elderly in society.”
The release date for Vanwaas: A Journey Of Life is tentatively set for the end of 2024, with the final date to be confirmed in September.

As for Gadar 3, Sharma is keeping details under wraps but teased, “Jab mere paas emotion ka atom bomb aayega, tab main phodunga!” He also assured that this sequel will have a better budget than its predecessor, promising an even bigger spectacle.
For the unversed, Gadar 2 was recently re-released with sign language interpretation in multiple cities to promote inclusion. The team also celebrated the film’s 1st anniversary a few days back.
