Ulajh Box Office: Janhvi Kapoor Starrer Earns Rs 9.95 Cr Nett In 11 Days, Set To Conclude Its Disastrous Run Below Rs 12 Cr Mark
Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor and featuring a strong ensemble cast, is struggling to make its mark at the box office. Despite having talented actors like Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Meiyan Chang, the film’s performance has been underwhelming, to say the least.
Released on the same day as Ajay Devgn’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Ulajh faced stiff competition from the get-go. Unfortunately, the film failed to attract a large audience, earning only Rs 1.37 crore on its opening day.
This disappointing start places Ulajh among Kapoor’s lowest openings, just slightly better than her previous film, Mili. The movie’s slow didn’t improve the mixed reviews it received, which further dampened audience interest.
Ulajh Has Almost Disappeared With Only Rs 0.12 Cr Collection On Day 11
Over the opening weekend, Ulajh saw a slight boost in earnings, bringing in a modest Rs 6.75 crore. However, the weekdays proved challenging, with the film only managing to add Rs 1.56 crore to its total. By the end of the first week, Ulajh had grossed Rs 8.31 crore in India, a figure far below expectations.
The second week has not been any kinder to the film. On its eighth day, Ulajh earned a meagre Rs 0.35 crore, even with a special Rs 99 Cinema Lovers Day ticket offer.
While the film did see a small uptick on the second Saturday, earning Rs 0.55 crore, and a better performance on the second Sunday with Rs 0.62 crore, it still wasn’t enough to turn the tide. Interestingly, Ulajh managed to outperform Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha on that Sunday, bringing its ten-day total to Rs 9.83 crore nett.
However, the eleventh day marked a significant downturn for the film. On Monday, August 12, Ulajh earned just Rs 0.12 crore, bringing the total to Rs 9.95 crore. With an overall Hindi occupancy of just 10.48% on that day, it’s clear that the film is struggling to draw in viewers.

As new big releases are set to hit theatres, it seems unlikely that Ulajh will cross the Rs 12 crore mark before it is pulled from screens. With earnings far below its budget, the film is on track to be one of the year’s major flops.
Despite its strong cast and initial promise, Ulajh failed to connect with audiences, sealing its fate as a box office disappointment.
