Modern Masters Trailer: SS Rajamouli Calls Himself ‘A Slave Of His Story’ In This Netflix Documentary – WATCH
SS Rajamouli’s new documentary, Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli, released its trailer on July 22. The film will debut on Netflix on August 2. Rajamouli, famous for hits like Baahubali and RRR, has greatly influenced cinema.
From Eega to RRR, his films feature intense, memorable characters that highlight his unique vision. His movies have not only made a splash globally but also set new records in Indian cinema with their chart-topping songs. Hosted by film critic and journalist Anupama Chopra, the documentary explores Rajamouli’s journey from Hyderabad to Hollywood.
Netflix Drops Modern Masters Trailer
Netflix released the trailer on its Instagram, giving fans a sneak peek into Rajamouli’s creative world. The two-minute clip shows behind-the-scenes moments from his blockbuster hits like RRR, Baahubali: The Beginning, and Baahubali: The Conclusion. In the trailer, stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Prabhas share their admiration for Rajamouli.
Jr NTR praises Rajamouli, saying, “This person is born to make films, and he’s born to tell stories that have never been told. I haven’t met someone like that.” Ram Charan adds, “Sometimes I am shocked. I see myself as a third person when I see his films.”
Canadian director James Cameron also weighs in, noting, “He certainly has the respect to be able to do anything and work with anybody.”
The trailer highlights Rajamouli’s dedication to his craft. He says, “The only thing I am a slave to is my story,” showcasing his deep commitment to storytelling.
Sharing the video, Netflix wrote on Instagram, “A master of his craft, a cinema phenomenon. Watch director S. S. Rajamouli’s journey from Student No. 1 to RRR. Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli, coming on 2 August, only on Netflix!”
