Vikrant Massey’s star continues to rise in Bollywood, fueled by the success of 12th Fail and his recent stint in Jio Cinema’s Blackout. The actor’s impressive run at the box office has cemented his position as a sought-after talent in the industry, with several high-profile projects now on his plate.
Amid this, he has reportedly been offered another interesting project.
Vikrant Massey To Lead Rahul Dholakia’s Next?
According to the reports from Peeping Moon, Massey is in the final stages of negotiations to headline a psychological thriller directed by Rahul Dholakia.
Produced by Madhu Mantena’s revamped Phantom Studios, the film is slated to begin filming in January 2025. While specifics about the plot and Massey’s character remain confidential, sources confirm his verbal commitment, with contractual details swiftly nearing finalisation.
Meanwhile, Rahul Dholakia anticipates the release of Excel Entertainment’s thriller Agni, starring Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu Sharma, before commencing pre-production on his upcoming venture. Agni follows the story of a firefighter and a police officer teaming up to solve a citywide crisis, currently in the final stages of post-production and eyeing a release later this year.
Vikrant Massey’s Work Front
Before diving into Dholakia’s project, Massey has a busy schedule ahead. Currently immersed in Rajkumar Hirani’s web series focusing on cyber security, he will soon transition to Niranjan Iyengar’s directorial debut, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, where he portrays a blind musician. Discussions are also underway for a romantic drama with Namah Pictures, although confirmation is pending.
Audiences can catch him next alongside Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Sheirgill in Netflix’s Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, set to premiere globally on August 9.
Additionally, he leads Ranjan Chandel’s The Sabarmati Report, slated for a September 2024 release. Fans can also anticipate Sector 36, a mystery thriller from Dinesh Vijan, and Talaakhon Mein Ek, directed by Bodhayan Roychaudhury opposite Raashi Khanna, both awaiting their theatrical debut.
