Thangalaan: After Thunderours Response To Trailer, First Single ‘Murga Murgi’ To Be Out On July 17 – WATCH Promo!
Vikram’s much-anticipated film Thangalaan is set to hit screens on August 15, 2024. Building excitement ahead of its release, director Pa Ranjith and the team have unveiled the promo for the film’s first single, titled “Murga Murgi.”

Composed by GV Prakash Kumar, the song’s promo features Vikram and Parvathy dancing spiritedly to the celebratory folk beats, accompanied by tribal performers. The visuals capture the essence of their community, showcasing Vikram and Parvathy in impressive roles.
The promotional strategy includes leveraging musical updates to enhance anticipation for the grand Independence Day release. Thangalaan is gearing up for a box office clash with the Telugu film Double iSmart, starring Ram Pothineni.
A Gripping Trailer Of Vikram’s Film Was Released Recently
Earlier, the team had released a gripping trailer for Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, renowned for his impactful socio-political dramas.
The trailer delves into the historical backdrop of oppression faced by a tribal community under British rule, particularly focusing on the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) discovery two centuries ago. The film promises a blend of surrealism, mythology, and a poignant narrative about the struggles of the oppressed community.
Featuring stellar performances by Vikram, Parvathy, and Malavika Mohanan, the trailer has captivated audiences, setting high expectations for the film’s theatrical debut. Co-written by Tamil Prabha, Azhagiya Periyavan, and Pa Ranjith himself, Thangalaan boasts a strong ensemble cast including Pasupathi, Preethi, and Arjun Prabhakaran. It has been produced by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green in association with Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions.
