Director Sudha Kongara, known for her work on the Hindi remake of the Suriya-starrer Soorarai Pottru, shared insights into working with Akshay Kumar and compared his approach to acting with that of Suriya.
Speaking to Galatta Plus, she remarked, “Akshay sir is far more outgoing and ebullient compared to Suriya. Their performances reflect these differences. Akshay brings flamboyance to his scenes, whereas Suriya’s portrayal is more reserved and intense.”
Reflecting on their working styles, Kongara added, “Both actors have different processes, but they both reach a similar level of performance. Suriya is meticulous and improves with each take, whereas Akshay sir initially believes in capturing the scene perfectly from the start, but eventually refines his performance over multiple takes.”
