Thug Life: Rohit Saraf Joins Kamal Haasan In Mani Ratnam’s Tamil Gangster Action Film – DEETS Inside!
Thug Life has taken the film world by storm. Kamal Haasan thrilled the audience in 2023 by revealing a new collaboration with legendary director Mani Ratnam. The duo came together after 35 years since their iconic film Nayakan.
Following this exciting announcement, they launched an action-packed teaser video, hinting at a unique gangster drama. The film began shooting in January 2024, with the team working tirelessly ever since.
Fresh updates reveal that Rohit Saraf has joined the cast of Thug Life, and the actor has already started filming his scenes.
Rohit Saraf Joins Thug Life With Kamal Haasan
According to a source close to the project, Rohit Saraf has been brought on board to play a pivotal role in Thug Life. “Rohit is a big fan of both Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him. He has already started shooting for the film and will be seen playing a key catalyst in the story,” the source revealed to Pinkvilla.
Thug Life boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring Kamal Haasan, Simbu, Trisha Krishnan, Nassar, Joju George, and Rohit Saraf in significant roles.
“There are many surprises in Thug Life and the makers are committed to providing a grand cinematic experience. The shoot is currently underway, and Mani Ratnam is expected to wrap up filming by August 2024. The makers are eyeing a December 2024 release,” the source added.
This Mani Ratnam Directorial Is Rohit Saraf’s 1st Pan-India Film
Thug Life is produced by Raaj Kamal Films in association with Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies. The film is one of the most anticipated in Indian cinema, with a massive production scale.
Details about the plot remain under wraps for now. Thug Life will mark Rohit Saraf’s debut in Pan-India films. In addition to this project, Rohit will also be seen in the Karan Johar-produced Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which is set for release on April 19, 2025.
