Ajay Devgn To Do THESE 8 Sequels To Franchise Films; Kickstarts “De De Pyaar De 2” And “Son of Sardar 2” This June
Ajay Devgn, the versatile Bollywood actor, is all set to embark on an exciting film journey. Celebrating his 55th birthday on April 2, 2024, Ajay is currently enjoying the success of his recently released psychological thriller, Shaitaan. But that’s not all!
Ajay Devgn’s upcoming sequels to 8 franchise films
He’s gearing up for a packed schedule with eight franchise films in the pipeline:
- De De Pyaar De 2: Ajay will kick-start shooting for this much-awaited sequel in London. Directed by Anushul Sharma, the film is set to follow the romantic escapades of its predecessor.
- Son of Sardar 2: The sequel to the 2012 hit comedy Son of Sardar will also be part of Ajay’s busy schedule. The director’s identity remains under wraps, but the team has roped in an acclaimed director known for comedies in the Punjabi Film Industry.
- Singham Again: Ajay continues his iconic role as the fearless cop in this Rohit Shetty cop universe film.
- Raid 2: The sequel to the gripping crime drama Raid promises more intense action and suspense.
- Drishyam 3: Fans eagerly await the next installment in the gripping thriller series.
- Dhamaal 4: The laughter riot continues with this comedy franchise.
- Golmaal 5: Ajay’s comic timing shines in the fifth installment of the popular Golmaal series.
- Shaitaan 2 (Possibly): While still in the pipeline, there are whispers of a sequel to the successful psychological thriller.

Ajay Devgn to start shooting De De Pyaar De 2 and Son Of Sardar 2 in June
Ajay Devgn‘s ability to seamlessly transition between different film worlds and handle multiple projects per year is commendable. Starting in June, he’ll be shooting De De Pyaar De 2 and Son of Sardar 2 in London. “Ajay will wrap up shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2 by the end of May and both films are scheduled to be released in the second half of 2024. He will be off to London in June to commence work on De De Pyaar De 2 followed by Son of Sardar 2,” revealed a source to Pinkvilla.
Ajay’s stint in London begins with a 15-day schedule of De De Pyaar De 2, which will be directed by Anushul Sharma. “On calling it a wrap on the brief schedule of De De Pyaar De 2 in London, Ajay kicks off the sequel to his 2012 hit comedy, Son of Sardar. It’s going to be back-to-back shoot for Ajay,” the source added.
“Ajay has a certain format of shooting and he has mastered the art of multiple projects a year. He can seamlessly transform from one world to the other and is all gearing up to have an exciting line up in place for himself. He will be shooting for multiple schedules of DDPD 2 and Son of Sardar 2 from June at various locations,” the source informed.
While there is concrete clarity on the status quo of Singham Again, Raid 2, De De Pyaar De 2, and Son of Sardar 2, it’s a work in progress for Dhamaal 4, Golmaal 5, and Drishyam 3 as well. “And who knows, there could be Shaitaan 2 too in the pipeline sometime next year,” the source concluded.
