Breaking: Akshay Kumar To Shoot For Maddock’s Sky Force In UP For Next Two Weeks
Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for his next film Sky Force, is all set to shoot for the film in Uttar Pradesh. According to earlier media reports, the shoot was going to start in the first week of August in UK but the dates were postponed for two weeks due to visa issues.
Now we have exclusively learnt that, the Akshay Kumar will reach Sitapur (near Lucknow) by today evening and will shoot there until August 31. After that, the Sky Force team will have another one week schedule in Lucknow city. There will be a break of one month in September. The filming will resume towards the end of next month in London. In November, the team will return to Mumbai and finish the rest of the shooting.
Sky Force is an aerial drama based on real incidents
Sky Force is an upcoming film directed by debutants Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It is a period drama set in the 1960s and 1970s, against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. The film stars Akshay Kumar as an Indian Air Force officer who is involved in a daring mission based on real incidents. The film is expected to have some high-octane action sequences and stunning visuals of the sky.
The film also features a newcomer, Veer Pahariya, who was allegedly dating Sara Ali Khan before her debut, will be making his debut with this movie. Sara Ali Khan will be playing one of the female leads in the film opposite her ex. Nimrat Kaur is also reportedly playing a female lead in the film alongside Sara Ali Khan.

Akshay Kumar has a busy line-up of films
Akshay Kumar, who is known for his versatility and professionalism, has a busy line-up of films in the pipeline. The actor recently wrapped up the shooting of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, co-starring Tiger Shroff. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is slated to release in December 2024.
Akshay was last seen in OMG 2, the sequel to the 2012 hit comedy OMG: Oh My God! which has scored good figure at box office. Akshay Kumar had been facing a rough patch at the box office with his recent films like Selfiee, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu and Samrat Prithviraj failing to impress the audience and critics. However, OMG 2 has helped him bounce back and earn stardom and appreciation back.
Akshay will next be seen in The Great Indian Rescue, the action comedy Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, with Tiger Shroff, his Marathi debut film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat (where he is portraying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj), Housefull 5 and C. Sankaran Nair’s biopic. Akshay will also make his debut in Marathi cinema with Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, a biopic on freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The film is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and will release in 2024.
